Now, this is an interesting element I've come across in my recent wanderings in the literary blogging world. A neighbour, classmate, and fellow literary blogger introduced me to this practice. (Here is a link to her blog, if you'd like, whilst here is a blog to the originator of Teaser Tuesdays) I think I'd like to share the love. So,
TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Here is my Teaser:
"After about a minute he turned and walked through to the kitchen. then he unlocked the back door into the garden and went outside. I heard him life the lid of the dustbin and drop something into it and put the lid of the dustbin back on. Then he came into the kitchen again, but he wasn't carrying the book anymore. Then he locked the back door again and put the key into the little china jug that is shaped like a fat nun and he stood in the middle of the kitchen and closed his eyes."
-The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon.
I've only just started this book (literally, I'm just 3 pages in), but I've been hearing about this novel for more than a hear. It's high time I picked it up and read it! So far, so good! :)
